Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Vanguard on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Most features of this app do not work at all, and the ones that do are incredibly half-assed. For example, the menu items "Appliance Manual", "Bensons", "Handover Book", and "Availability List" do absolutely nothing. The "Log a Defect" function is at least functional, but requires you to re-enter your contact details each time you log a defect, which is annoying and cumbersome when you are logging numerous defects in your apartment. There is no facility to log a high-priority defect (eg. toilet not flushing). It is impossible to view the list of defects you have logged or their status. Even basic essential contact details (eg. concierge, building manager) are absent.
