About this app

We believe that the relationship between a coach and their swimmer can be a powerful one. It should be supportive and firm when required and above all a positive experience for both the coach and the swimmer. A good coach can help a swimmer to achieve much more than they thought they could – from putting their face into the water in the early years to nailing a 50m individual medley personal best.

Our relationship with your swimmer and your swimmer’s relationship with the water come first in our programming. When a swimmer believes in their coach and begins to love the water that is when real progress begins to occur.

Team Teaching: We practice team teaching with most of our Stroke Development and Junior Squads and some Senior Squads. This allows the children to benefit from the strengths of each coach and it allows our teachers to collaborate on how to get the best outcomes from a group or an individual. You’ll often see us start a lesson as a group and then split into two different groups working on different skills. At the end of the session we always come together with a ‘finisher’ bringing the team back together.
