Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CrossCalc on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Te damos la bienvenida a la App CrossCalc.

La calculadora genética CrossCalc está diseñada para calcular la proporción de fenotipos o genotipos de la descendencia de una cruza monohíbrida con los siguientes modos de herencia: dominancia y recesividad, codominancia, dominancia incompleta y herencia recesiva ligada al cromosoma X.

Para cruzas dihíbridas se puede calcular la proporción de la descendencia para una combinación de los siguientes modos de herencia: dominancia y recesividad para los dos pares de alelos o combinaciones de dominancia y recesividad con codominancia.

Para cualquiera de éstas cruzas solo necesitas escoger los genotipos de la cruza que quieres realizar, teclear los fenotipos que vas a cruzar, seleccionar si quieres como respuesta la proporción de los fenotipos o genotipos y CrossCalc te dará la proporción deseada de la descendencia.

Adicionalmente, CrossCalc te ofrece la posibilidad de realizar la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrada, tanto para una cruza monohíbrida como una dihíbrida, tan solo es necesario poner el conteo de los respectivos fenotipos y CrossCalc te ofrece dos posibilidades de resultado, puedes elegir obtener el resultado de X2 junto con todos los valores que se obtienen durante el procedimiento al aplicar la fórmula para el cálculo o puedes optar por obtener solo el valor de X2.

Si estás tomando clases de genética clásica o estás interesado en el cálculo de proporciones de la descendencia, entonces CrossCal es una aplicación que debes tener.
