The mission of Eat Local Homegrown is to strengthen the social and economic framework of El Paso by supporting and promoting the community’s locally-owned independent businesses and by educating the community about the vital role of locally-owned businesses.
Our mission is to bring consumers and small, local and independently owned businesses together for the benefit and growth of the community. Our belief is that we need to return to the basic ideal of supporting each other, our local community and our local economy
Eat local Homegrown websites offers businesses and community members the way to support one another through local products, services, low cost advertising and business support services. We believe it is vitally important to support “the bounty of our county”, each other and bring unity, income and economic development back to our community and county.

WHY EAT LOCAL
Local, independently operated restaurants provide the soul and distinctive flavors of food that help define a sense of place. These create unique menu items that are original to El Paso and its surroundings.
They are your neighbors! They are a part of our community. They work to keep our local economy strong and reinvest for the future.
The restaurant business is a passion. Our restaurants vary from white tablecloth and upscale casual to sandwich shops, taquerias, burritos places and pizza parlors. Our local independent restaurateurs live the business, breathe it, work in it and play in it. Our local chefs love the art of presentation and the look of surprise on your face when your plates come to your table. Our local chefs strive for perfection in every recipe, every dish and every table setting. As Eat Local Homegrown, we feel it’s our duty to support sustainable agriculture and help local restaurants incorporate the freshest local ingredients into their offerings.
