This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SOSRead on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

SOSRead helps people with reading problems. The SOSR app connects you to a trained reader. So, you take a pic of the difficult page, letter, label, menu etc and it is sent to the reader. The reader reads the text and then quickly sends you back a recording. You can play back your recording as often as you like. You don’t need to give us your name or e-mail address. We delete all the pics you send and don’t keep a copy of your recording. SOSR means you won’t be held back by a difficult piece of text or writing. The first try is FREE. Then we charge a low price for our service so we can pay the readers and cover our running costs. The service is confidential. You can also choose to have a live video-call with the reader. So, you can ask the reader questions about the text.
