About this app

GBI Abadi Jambi (GBI Rayon 14) digembalakan oleh Ps. Elby Utardi, di bawah pembina Ps. Dr. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo.

Sekilas kehadiran GBI Abadi Jambi, bermula dari persekutuan doa yang bernama Filadelpia, beraktifitas di Jalan Gajah Mada, persekutuan doa yang hanya terdiri dari beberapa anak-anak muda ini lambat laun berkembang menjadi ratusan orang.

​Dengan berjalannya waktu yang ada, maka kami pun merasa wadah ini perlu pem-Bapaan sehingga pada tahun 1996, kami sepakat untuk melebur dengan induk organisasi Gereja Bethel Indonesia Jemaat Bethany atau Succesfull Bethany Family (yang sekarang dikenal dengan nama Healing Movement Ministry) di bawah pembina rohani Ps. Dr. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo.

​Beberapa bulan kemudian, kegiatan ibadah berpindah dari Jalan Gajah Mada ke Hotel Abadi di Jalan Gatot Subroto Jambi. Sejak saat itu mulailah terjadi Kebangunan Rohani dan Tuhan mengirimkan banyak jiwa-jiwa.

​Bahkan api Kebangunan Rohani yang melanda gereja kita berdampak sampai ke Palembang dan Bangka, sehingga kita membuka cabang di Palembang dan Bangka.

Pada tahun 2004, gereja ini mengalami perpecahan dan sebagian jemaat memisahkan diri dan membuka gereja baru. Bersamaan itu juga, terbit peraturan Sinode Pusat Gereja Bethel Indonesia yang melarang menggunakan nama Bethany dan harus menggunakan nama jalan atau tempat di mana gereja tersebut berada, maka kitapun menyepakati untuk mengganti nama dari GBI Bethany Jambi menjadi GBI Jl. Gatot Subroto - Jambi yang dikenal juga dengan nama GBI Abadi Jambi.

Tepat pada tanggal 18 September 2017, Tuhan memberikan sebuah gedung pertemuan di atas tanah seluas 3800m2, yang pada tanggal 14 Agustus 2019 diresmikan oleh Ps. Dr. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo dengan nama My Home Convention Center (MHCC Jambi).

​Demikianlah sekilas perjalanan gereja GBI Abadi Jambi, kiranya Tuhan Yesus Kristus sebagai Kepala Gereja memberkati kita semua.
