About this app

Education, training and information sharing is one of the highly acclaimed internationally accepted principles in co-operative subsector the world over. Coopfm.org is the first of its kind in South Africa established in consideration of this principle and to help stakeholders within the subsector to exercise this principle to the fullest.
To this end the station intends providing a platform called the Co-operative FM (Coopfm). A social enterprise co-operative dedicated to the co-operative subsector of the economy for the information, education and training in the subsector. In addition, it aims at carrying the voices within the co-operative movement in South Africa to the Co-operative Community and to the society in general.
It intends to present the views, progress, success stories as well as the challenges of the co-operative sector to the stakeholders. In particular, the organisation aims at broadcasting, entertaining, informing and educating members within the sector for social and economic change that will bring relief to the majority of the people in South Africa.
It is the mission of this organisation to provide latest information within the subsector to the co-operative community. This may relate to the legislative framework, management and governance as well as the best practices within the subsector.
It is part of this noble object to showcase the success stories within the subsector so as to inspire, motivate and encourage members within the sector to pursue the goals of their co-operative with great deal of passion and determination.
