About this app

Apollo is a voice assistant designed to assistant in "hands free" driving by allowing you to make voice commands to do common tasks on your Android phone. Apollo will reply via voice feedback. The goal is to keep you from having to touch or even look at your phone while driving. In many states it is illegal now to touch your phone while driving due to safety concerns.

Please note that Apollo is now currently in beta. If you have any problems while driving with Apollo, please pull over to a safe location before interacting with your phone!

Voice Assistant Features:
• Play music with Spotify¹ ²
• Find restaurants, gas stations, businesses, and more
• Navigation via Waze or Google Maps¹
• Make phone calls to people in your contacts
• Text your contacts
• Send group texts
• Play recent texts
• Get the forecast
• Ask random questions
• Adjust the volume
• Send feedback

Instructions:
• Say the wake word "Apollo"
• After confirmation, state your request
• To cancel the request say "Apollo Cancel"

Example Requests:
• What is the weather forecast for Portland?
• Send a text to Chris and Bill that says, hey, let's get coffee
• Call mom
• Find me the nearest coffee shop
• Navigate to the Moda Center
• What is the meaning of life?

Options:
• Wake word sensitivity. Lower sensitivity equals less false positives, adjust higher if Apollo is not responding
• Choose default navigation app
• Retrain your wake words if you are having issues
• NOTE: Since this app is in beta, many of these options are developer level options (sensitivity, high sensitivity, gain). Be careful when adjusting these. If you mess up your settings, try retraining by going "settings -> train". Retrain in a quiet room with no background noise.
