Four years later, in 1999, Ngo Thanh Van returned to Vietnam, and won the runner-up in Miss Vietnam in photos (by the World Women's Magazine in 2000). In 2002, Ngo Thanh Van started his career as a pop singer and signed with Phuong Nam Film. Then, she recorded an album is the Garden of Love with singer Tuan Hung.

A year later, in 2003, with the help of Quoc Bao, Ngo Thanh Van released her first album, The Game World , on February 26th, her 23rd birthday. This album is a pop-dance genre, with the story of "NTV Virus". The two music videos made from this album, including the songs World of Games and Bright Day (a cover of JTL's A Better Day ), were directed by Jackie Chen (director of programming MTV) staged. These two videos are the first to use special effects and are recorded most expensive music videos in Vietnam at the time.

In 2004, continues the story of Van Virus, Ngo Thanh Van released second album, Mystery of Moon , with the theme of the Moon on 15 June 3. Three videos were released from this album: Mysterious Vầng Moon , the ballad When I'm sad is covered after the group Eyes, Pearls, and the song Sea Games 22 Reach to the High . Only two mysterious songs Moon and Reaching to the heights are reminiscent of NTV virus to create links, and other songs Ngo Thanh Van expressed in the new hip hop dance.
