The Chinese Zodiac or horoscope is based on a twelve year cycle. Each year of the lunar calendar is associated with one of 12 animal signs. Your year of birth will determine your Chinese Zodiac or Horoscope sign. The Chinese associate each animal with certain or unique characteristics, personalities and fortune. Each person will have different personalities or characteristics based on their blood type as well.

The 12 animals are rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. If you are born in the years 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 and 2012, then your Chinese zodiac or horoscope is the Dragon.
