This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Hawaii Radio Stations USA on PC Windows and Mac.

Some of the stations I am looking for eg AM940 doesn't play, and KINE Hawaiian 105 isn't on your list.

When you exit the app while a radio station is still active and playing, you can see a small music note in the notification bar. That's how you can get back to the app and either stop or change the stream. The App will not be listed in Task Manager.
