About this app

Bhume Rural Municipality is one of the Local Level Government among 753 local levels formed by Constitution of Nepal. It lies in Rukum (Eastern Part) District, Province no. 5, West Nepal. It is inhabitant of 18,589 (2001) people. The Rural Municipality is formed by uniting previous Morabang V.D.C., Mahat V.D.C., Kanda V.D.C., Kankri V.D.C., Chunwang V.D.C. and Rukumkot ward no. 4. It has expanded in 9 wards with geographical area of 273.67 square meters. The Office of the Rural Executive is located at Bhume -3, Sima, Rukum (East).
The Rural Municipality is rich in religion and culture. Its religious affiliations are dominantly Hindu followed by Buddhism and Naturism. Mainly, Magar people worship the Bhumee (the land). They follow the philosophy of Naturism. More than 70% Magar People live in this Rural Municipality. Magar Kham is the basic and most spoken language in rural villages. Besides Magar Kham Language Nepali is the common language of communication. People of other cast and religious beliefs also live in Bhume Rural Municipality giving it a cosmopolitan culture. Historical Chunwang Meeting spot, living culture of Magar customs, indigenous habitants, gorilla trail are the main attraction of promoting tourism in this municipality.
