Hari Rabu terakhir bulan Shafar atau lazim disebut "Rabu Wekasan”. Pada hari itu,
umat Islam perlu melaksanakan amalan-amalan kebaikan seperti berdoa, bersedekah,
ataupun shalat sunnah untuk meminta keselamatan
kepada Allah SWT.sebagai mana keterangan bahwa Allah akan menurunkan
320.000 musibah setiap tahun dalam hari Rabu wekasan. Karenanya, para ulama
selalu mendekatkan diri (taqarrub) kepada Allah dengan meminta keselamatan kepada-Nya.
Amalan di Bulan Safar lebih baiknya diamalkan setiap hari secara rutin jika dimungkinkan, atau jika tidak demikian sejak awal bulan Safar, amalan ini dilakukan. Adapun terkait Arba Mustamir dengan jumlah bacaan 2375x hendaknya dibaca dalam sekali duduk selesai karena lebih utama. Namun
tidak ada larangan jika dibaca dalam beberapa kali asalkan dalam waktu
yang telah ditentukan yaitu antara terbenamnya matahari hari Selasanya
hingga terbitnya matahari Kamis pagi.
