Features of Alumni Match include:
Social logins - new members quickly login with Facebook, LinkedIn, Google. We do this to verify people and enable integrations with other social networks for curating posts.
Registration questions - answer many fun, quick, easy questions and then instantly get matched to all other college alumni with similar, shared answers.
Privacy - each question answered in Registration enables a user to mark it as Private or Public. If private then the answer is viewed by no one, and if public the answer can be seen by other users within your alumni network only.
Matching Magic - users are asked what industries they are in, what their college degree was, which student orgs they were a part of, and what types of relationships they hope to discover on Alumni Match. Based on these answers, every user has a % match with every other user. This % match is a powerful indicator of shared interests and also tells a user of things to chat about to start up conversations or resurrect old dialogues.
Who Has Viewed Me - Alumni Match shows every single person that has clicked on your name or photo to view your profile. We tell you when they Viewed and how many times. No hidden viewers of your profile.
Map Me - View a map of other alumni that are near you and let your location presence be seen by other alumni. There are many privacy controls letting users say who can see their location and how far the reach is.
Mobile alerts - We let each user customize what triggers a push notification. By default we send one to a user when another user joins that they have a 50% or more match, for friend requests, messages, and announcements.
Messaging - Members can send and receive messages to each other. This is standard stuff in most social networking app.
Friends - Members create a Friend list and can approve and deny friend requests. We do this so users can only let friends see their location and send messages to all friends.
Homepage dashboard - All activity happening from friends is shown to users when they login and land on their homepage. This is also where the most recent Social media news is displayed.
Invite others - Alumni Match makes it easy to invite others directly from your other social networking apps or by emailing them. The easier, the better, is our motto!
