I am a new customer to Altice/Optimum. The app works well to set recordings when away from home. My biggest drawback is the actual picture I receive at home. In a month, I have lost signal for an entire Sunday and the picture is choppy and freezes for a few seconds. I have just bought equipment that far exceedss the quality of service coming into my home. FIOS was far superior if I had to compare.

Overall app is okay and a decent companion to the TV service. That being said, the picture quality as of late has been abysmal at best and looks as if it's from 10 years ago. And it doesn't matter if I'm on wifi, 4g lte, 5g or even 5g uwb. I'm one of the lucky ones who's app actually works, just the picture quality is probably the of any app I've used in the past 5 years.

(Editing my review) The app does stream live TV. But, only if you are connected to your home WIFI network. If you're "out and about" the app redirects you to download the TV network's app that you are trying to watch. Still, it's not as good as the apps from other cable TV providers.

I typically use this app on my tablet connected to my home wifi. I can watch all of my subscribed channels & my DVRs. Occasionally I have an issue where I'll get an error while trying to watch a live channel, specifically an MLB game, and cannot view live. The app will allow me to record the game to the DVR & I can just watch that recording live. Few glitches like that here & there. Overall I'm pleased with the app and would recommend others to use it. If they release a Beta I'd try that too.

To be fair the app tells you when you first sign in that you can only use it on your home wifi, it's a quick message that maybe should show a little longer but that's what it told me. First time user havent even tried it yet so we shall see.

I agree with another review that the picture quality has been really terrible recently. So blurry it's barely watchable.
