Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Aghazurdu on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

I have two suggestions: make the navigation icons (arrows) bigger and also add a button to go back (like when exploring colors, there should be an option to go back and choose another color)

About this app

Aghaz is a simple mobile app for learning basic Urdu. The method is simple and the app is kept as user friendly as possible. The intended audience of Aghaz are beginners who are starting to learn Urdu.

There are 8 sections, currently 3 are operational. Qaida shows all the letters of the Urdu alphabet, Ginti shows numbers 1 to 10, and Rung shows 8 basic colors.

On clicking a letter, number or color, the user is taken to a word card where there are at least six word cards for each such entity. Every card has an object, its name and the sound of the letter. Clicking on the object would give the phonic sound of that object.

The words are carefully tailored towards maximizing the vocabulary. The objects that have been chosen are from numerous sections. We have tried to address concepts, animals, things, fruits, vegetables, places... the concept is not different from the famous Urdu game Name-Place-Animal-Thing...

New features

Major Update. The installation file size has increased due to videos. This new version however, also enables the user to move the app to the SD card.
1- Added short video hints to more than 170 words. An icon on bottom right corner denotes a video.
2- Replaced a couple of words, resized word card size, navigation button sizes.
3- Added new module for General Knowledge. All the word cards in the app are arranged in groups like occupations, places, vegetables, fruits, animals etc.
