Why is every profile 175+ miles away? Really disappointing! Edit as of 01/15/2024: Yup, this app still sucks. The majority of the profiles you see are at least 125+ miles. In fact, when you get a profile that's 95 miles away, I would consider that close. Bumble is a much better app. You will actually get profiles in your area. Upward has become a major waste of time. If you really want to connect with people, don't choose Upward. Trust me. It's one of the worst apps out there right now.

Only 1 star due to the absolutely HORRIBLE distance algorithm. I keep resetting my max distance to 30, 40, then back again and it continuously shows people 60, 90, 100, 125 miles away!!! This renders the app almost completely worthless. It's a shame too because otherwise it's generally ok, especially with the focus. You should be embarrased Upward ... all the other apps have figured out this rather simple fix. And don't you DARE say you curate some great matches, or spin this as a positive!

Very faulty app, but it could be good with revisions. The majority of the people on the app are NOT Christians, and many profiles are either inactive or fake/spam. The notifications are inconsistent, and you have to pay see likes from other people unless you both match. Overall, it's okay. I've connected with a few men but haven't resulted in anything yet.

The range limiter is completely broken. Set to 10 or 60, I have still seen profiles 700 miles away. Also, 60 does seem like a bit of an arbitrary number when it jumps in 50s above 100. Every few profiles it, gives me the same profile a second time. A limited number of likes means you have to stop interacting entirely at some point, but I haven't figured out a way to determine when. Other than a few major flaws, it operates pretty much as advertised.

I liked this app a lot more before the addition of "super like" spamming every 10 seconds. When you don't even have any left. Seriously, get rid of it. It's incredibly annoying. Also the doubles that pop up. You'll push no on a profile then the exact same one will pop up again. That's clearly a bug. Please fix it. This is really lame that it is still present after all this time

Upward is an easy app to navigate, but once your membership ends, they become ruthless. They say you can like people, match, and chat for free. But the purposely make your distance greater than 120 miles. Even after updating twice, I still can't see people within a 60-mile radius of me. Don't tell people it's "free" when you are purposely forcing people to spend more money to see likes surrounding their location!
