Lagu kasidah modern liriknya juga dibuat dalam bahasa Indonesia selain Arab. Grup kasidah modern membawa seorang penyanyi bintang yang dibantu paduan suara wanita. Alat musik yang dimainkan adalah rebana dan mandolin, disertai alat-alat modern, misalnya: biola, gitar listrik, keyboard dan flute.
