About this app

The aim is to provide a version of the first book of Virgil's Aeneid in Latin (Aeneas's arrival at Carthage) that anyone can read. The text can be easily arranged in many different ways, with definitions, grammar and Latin word ordering provided inline or in short chunks below or to the side as words are tapped. A fairly literal translation is provided for each sentence, as well as notes taken from Conington, with a few of my own added too, and also scansion for each line.
