About this app

The ancient Egyptian dictionary lists more than 30000 words of the language of the Pharaohs in transcription, German and English translation. A simple input field offers a quick start. You can search for transcription, translation or hieroglyphics: 1) Transcription: Enter the transcription either in MdC format or in Unicode. 2) Translation: You can search for the German or English translation of a word. 3) Hieroglyphs: Search for hieroglyphs that a word can use by entering the Gardiner code of the hieroglyph. The hit list provides the transcription, the German and English translation of the word and finally a link for further information about the word.
