The worst app. Graphics are horrible. It doesn't have all the words so don't call it a dictionary. And the phrases don't make sense. Just remove this app. It's a waste of time and data. I didn't learn a single thing from it.

Disappointing really. Would like to learn the language asap but so far I've only felt frustration. I somehow can't enter a phrase in English and get the Oshiwambo version and how to pronounce it. πŸ‘ŽπŸΌβ˜ΉοΈ Or perhaps I'm not doing something right. I don't even want tick βœ… a star... But yeah...

About this app

You can find an Oshiwambo dictionary and you can also find an Oshindonga dictionary. But you can't find any for Oshikwanyama, or at least I didn't. Even the ones existing for other Owambo languages are just available as a paper copy.

Now instead of buying a book, which you have to carry around all day long, just get the portable version in form of an app! The best part is, even though they speak different languages in the different Regions of Namibia, thanks to the similarity of these languages, people will most likely still understand you, even if you use Oshikwanyama translations.

And now it will be even more portable! Don't you also never have enough mobile data? Well I don't. So from now onward, offline usage is supported! Just download the data when you have Wi-Fi and then out you go exploring the language - without using a single byte.

Be a part of our ever growing knowledge base and contribute to our database, so that all of us learning Oshikwanyama or maybe English have a chance to do so more effectively.

Should you find a word missing in our database, don't you worry. We have already been notified of it and it will be added as soon as possible.

So now have fun learning Oshikwanyama, English or any other Owambo language. Finally with a fully functioning dictionary!
