About this app

This calculator converts cusec flow into Cumec(m3/sec) ,LPS ( Litre per second) and over period of 0 to 24 hours for converting it into MCFT, TMC( Thousand Million cubic feet).
This app gives comparision of Volume calculations with LARGE dams of 100 TMC capacity. and Visualises user by giving water rise calculations in Are,Acre and Ha.

This is useful for Common public that Outflow/Flood water given by Irrigation agency to understand amount of water in different understandable units.
During the monsoon, we usually hear news that due to heavy rains and 125,000 cusecs to 500,000 cusecs of water released from the dam.But we can’t figure out what is exact meaning
Let's now see what exactly is Cusec.
Measure the amount of water following units are used
1) What is TMC ??
2) What is Cusec ??
3) What is Cumec ??
1 TMC is one thousand millions cubic feet, which is 01 billion cubic feet .
1 TMC = 28,316,846,592 liters
1 Cusec - One cubic foot of water per second is one cusec.
This volume emits 28.3 litres of water a second.
1 Cumec - One cubic meter of water per second is a cumec.
This volume emits 1,000 litres of water a second.
E.g.
The dam capacity of is 1.97 TMC.
That means it contains 1.97 x 28.317 billion litres of water.
From this dam, 500 cusecs of water are currently released into the river.
That is, 500 x 28.317 liters per second is being released from the water.

Relationship between Cusec and TMC: Suppose 11574 cusecs of water outflow for 24 hours, and 1 TMC was water released. On the contrary, if the water released 1,15,74O cusecs make 10 TMC and 500,000 cusecs of water from the dam gives 50 TMC water.
With the help of the Water Calculator app, we can see the water left in the cusecs in the TMC momentarily. And the immediate advantage of knowing how many times the capacity of the flow is in the water.
