Keeps saying Google News feeds are "depreciated," yet the same URL works fine through a browser. App appears abandoned. No updates in over a year.

Theres a bug: Upon openning sometimes, the app keeps closing itself down after a few secs. Please fix this

I used this app all the time years ago when I got my Galaxy S3. However, I drifted away because of the lack of home screen widget options. I would return to this as my daily social and news option in a heartbeat if you could add a scrollable widget with transparency option. Other than that, this app is awesome!

Have to pay to use more than just one filter. Not really impressed that much.

There was no responds when i select Facebook. Can't login. I have tried uninstall & reinstall but it was still the same. There were no issues logging into Twitter, Instagram as well as RSS and reading all the updates in 1 app. It would have been a great app if everything works.

About this app

Newspy is a powerful news filter that can help you fight the information overload. By means of custom filter rules, Newspy brings to your attention only articles and posts regarding keywords, expressions and people you are interested in, from RSS feeds, Twitter, Reddit and web pages.

Newspy is not intended to replace your favorite news reader or Twitter client for casual reading, but to complement them as an efficient information monitoring tool.

Newspy can let you know fast when:

- some product or service is offered in Groupon, SlickDeals or your favorite deals/coupon sites
- a specific person posts something in Twitter
- your preferred artist or team is in the news
- your stocks are mentioned in financial news
- a new job offer matches your skills
- a new review/article is published for a product
- a product you want is in stock again
- and much more!

To use Newspy you just need to:

1. Define the news sources to be checked periodically. This can include RSS channels, your Twitter timeline, Reddit posts and web pages.

2. Create rules (keyword lists or expressions) that will be used to find relevant news and associate them to the sources.

Newspy will periodically fetch the latest news from all sources, retain only those that match your search rules, and consolidate them into a single stream.

Features:

★ Reads RSS feeds, Twitter updates, Reddit posts and web pages

★ Searches titles, descriptions and source/sender names

★ RSS channels can be added manually, imported from OPML files and Web sites or selected from a list of suggestions

★ Supports negative and linked rules, regular expressions and relevance levels for advanced filtering

★ Last matches are retained and can be read with the built-in viewer

★ Important items can be clipped and retained permanently

★ You can export all news as a single html page to Evernote, Dropbox or Google Drive, and read them comfortably on your desktop computer

★ Rules are assigned to specific sources and vice-versa for more precise matching

★ Notifications for new items found - Wear OS compatible (paid version)

★ TTS (Text-to-speech) function can read news to you when you are commuting (paid version)

★ Built-in search for news captured

★ Home screen widget

The following extra features can be unlocked via an one-time payment:
- No ads
- Unlimited news sources and search rules
- Notifications for new items and TTS (Text-to-speech)
