Ustadz Abu Usamah adalah salah seorang qari’ yang memiliki suara merdu. Lantunan suaranya yang indah saat membaca al-Qur’an sering diputar di salah satu radio swasta yang berbasis di Bogor, yakni Radio Rodja. Dibandingkan dengan para masyayikh yang berasal dari luar negeri, saat ini tidak banyak qari’ lokal yang tenar namanya di kalangan pecinta murattal al-Qur’an, dan Abu Usamah adalah salah satu di antaranya yang cukup memiliki nama dan juga memang memiliki suara yang indah untuk disimak.

Ustadz Abu Usamah Syamsul Hadi, Lc. berasal dari Lombok, NTB. Beliau mendapatkan gelar sarjananya dari Jurusan Syari’ah LIPIA Jakarta. ciri khas suara qiro’ah al-Qur’an yang dilantunkan oleh Ustadz Abu Usamah yaitu Empuk, jernih, tartil (tidak terlalu cepat dan tidak terlalu lambat). Beliau juga merupakan mudir EMIISc Jakarta (Sekolah Islam Terpadu Unggulan Metropolitan).
