পবিত্র কুরআন আল্লাহর কালাম। মহান আল্লাহর অবিনশ্বর বাণী। এই কুরআনের প্রতিটি বক্তব্য যেমন চিরন্তন ওয়াহী, তেমনি এর সুরা ও আয়াত সমূহের ক্রমবিন্যাস মহান আল্লাহ পাকের মনোনীত, যা নতুন করে সংস্থাপনের কোন অবকাশ নেই। পবিত্র কুরআনের এটি অন্যতম মুজিযা যে, আজ থেকে চৌদ্দশত বছর পূর্বে খাতামুন নাবিয়্যিন হযরত মুহাম্মদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম যেভাবে যে তারতীব ও ক্রমবিন্যাশের উপর উম্মতের সীনায়া ও হাতে রেখে গিয়েছেন আজো সেই বিন্যাশের উপর বিদ্যমান। কোথাও কোন যুগে তাতে একটি নুকতারও পরিবর্তন হয়নি।

আমরা বর্তমানে যে তারতীবের উপর পবিত্র কুরআন হিফজ করছি কিংবা তিলাওয়াত করছি সেই তারতীবের উপরই প্রিয়নবী (স.) নিজে মুখস্থ করেছেন, বছর বছর হযরত জিব্রীলকে শুনিয়েছেন, সাহাবায়ে কেরামকে মুখস্থ করিয়েছেন এবং সকলে সেই তারতীবের উপরই নামাযে দাড়িয়ে মহান আল্লাহর সমীপে কুরআন খতম করতেন। এই কুরআন সেই মূলকপিরই হুবুহু অনুলিপি যা লাওহে মাহফুযে সংরক্ষিত। ফকীহগণ বলেছেন, পবিত্র কুরআনের এই তারতীবের ওয়াহীরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত বিধায় নতুনভাবে কুরআনের বিন্যাস বৈধ নয়।

পবিত্র কুরআনের বিষয়ভিত্তিক আয়াত শীর্ষক গন্থ দ্বারা নতুন কোন বিন্যাস উপস্থাপন করা কিংবা বর্তমান তারতীবের বিকল্প তারতীব পেশ করা মোটেও উদ্দেশ্য নয়। আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য হল সাধারণ পাঠকরা যেন সহজে পবিত্র কুরআন থেকে নিজের প্রয়োজনীয় বিষয়টি খুজে জ্ঞান আহরণ করতে পারেন সে লক্ষ্যে আয়াতগুলোকে এক একটি শিরোনামের আওতায় রেফারেন্স ও অর্থসহ পেশ করা হয়েছে।
