Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Knife Rights LegalBlade™ on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

This app contains essential information for anyone who carries a knife, especially those traveling to different states. However, the persistent disclaimers (stinkin' lawyers!), poor design, forced horizontal viewing, and tables that don't format properly render the app difficult to use.

This app takes twice add long as necessary because you have to scroll through two (!) disclaimers before you can even use the app. Every time! Enough already. We get it. Also, the chart format is not intuitive.

To all who complain that not every state shows city info. In some states, there is only state law and cities may not have more restrictive laws than the state. On states that do not have a state preemption, it would be almost impossible to list every town and city because their statutes could change at any time. The app will show if the state has preemption.

All screens are blank, except for initial disclaimer. Used to work, but I assume an update broke it for Note 3.

This app is useless I select at Texas in that only show me the state law no city laws anywhere in the state and I tried other states and nothing half of them don't have anything in there other than the state law and not any city ordinances well that kind of makes this app useless

Simple fix. Allow the app to be viewed vertically instead of only horizontally, and I'll give it a 5.

Both submissions require you to provide us a name and email so that we can communicate back to you. This information will be used only for this purpose and will not be retained or sold.

Please note that a legal disclaimer is shown and must be acknowledged each time before the legal information is provided. Because we anticipate that this app will be used to show the information it contains to others than just the phone's or tablet's owner, our attorneys insisted on this "feature."
