This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing IITK Student Search on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Very bad app I am student of iitk and using iitk network but it shows authentication failed. Don't waste your time in installing this app.

In EEM branch it shows two GEET GEORGE in MTECH 15 batch but actually only one geet George is there.. Please correct the same.

About this app

* For accessing the App you need to be connected to IITK local network. This is just a verification measure to restrict the app the IITK users only, and it is only required when accessing the app for the first time.

* The app works offline, you need not require internet to use the app.

* Y15 students data is added and also updated the data of degree converted students.

* There is a choice provided, whether to download all student images on the device or not. If not, the images would be loaded directly from server on each search.

* As the size of all student images is large (38 MB), please be patient while downloading it. It might take some time for it to be complete.

* Any feedback for the app is most welcome.

* If you are not in IITK local network but still wish to access the app. just drop a mail to iitk.studentsearch+globalrequest@gmail.com with the registered google account in your device as the subject of the mail. Access to the app will be provided to your device.
