This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing VIVE-AR on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

How it Works:

1. Visit http://www.vive-ar.com/.

2. Watch the video to get an idea and click on “let’s start” to experience the DIY AR
production (try this on a laptop/desktop computer):

3. Choose the marker from existing ones or upload any other image you want as a marker (for AR production).

4. Add Text, Add Image, Add Video, Add Audio, Add Box, Add Album.

5. You can try any or all of the features – Play around with the added images and text – you can change their positions, angles, sizes and so on.

6. Afterwards, press "publish" and you’ll get the QR code.

7. Scan this QR Code with the downloaded/installed app from Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Vive.DIYAR (using your smartphone camera).

8. Scroll down the page with QR Code and you’ll see the marker, scan this marker (using your smartphone camera) and you’ll see the AR effect, which you have composed.

Note: Editor on the website can better be used on a laptop/desktop (for better user experience).
