ARTNATOMYA es una aplicación didáctica diseñada y construida para facilitar, en el ámbito general de los estudios de Bellas Artes, la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de los fundamentos anatómicos y biomecánicos que configuran la morfología de la expresión facial a la hora de representar emociones.

Su objetivo principal es facilitar al estudiante o simplemente al interesado una herramienta de consulta rápida, que le permita familiarizarse y experimentar con los fundamentos anatómicos necesarios para una correcta representación biomecánica de las distintas expresiones del rostro, independientemente de cual sea la solución formal elegida.

En la misma medida, el objetivo también incluye facilitar la tarea de los profesores, que disponen así de una imagen en movimiento visualmente ampliable, pero además, también interactiva (puede ser accionada por el profesor o los alumnos) y polivalente, puesto que los distintos niveles y funciones independientes permiten acoplar los contenidos de la aplicación a cualquier programa docente, dirigiendo y dosificando los ejemplos suministrados al alumno en cada momento.

Se trata de una herramienta concentrada, que aspira tanto a proporcionar al aficionado una base suficiente a la hora de abordar problemas de representación del rostro, como a completar el material de apoyo a la explicación en clase, llegando a cubrir de forma completa la falta parcial o total de estos recursos en centros docentes con pocos medios.
