About this app

Newcastle City Council and Virtual Perspective have worked together to create this experience to recognise the monumental storm that hit the Lower Hunter Region and Central Coast in June 2007.

The storm claimed nine lives in total across the region and was devastating for many in the community who incurred flood damage to their property. We acknowledge the impact the storm had for Newcastle and its neighbours and aim to improve the awareness of flood risk with this experience in an effort to reduce likely impacts of future storms.
