Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AR RIDDLE on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

One of the keys to helping students learn successfully is to make learning fun. This Augmented Reality Folktales-Riddles Book contains loads of interesting folktales and hilarious riddles from North Borneo, playing with new technology known as augmented reality (AR), with the effects of pulling graphics out of television screen or computer display and integrating them into real-world environments. AR Folktales-Riddles Book is changing the conventional way of reading folktales from printed books and asking riddles orally. The new technology aims to add fun to the learning process based on folk creativities and wisdoms.

This book is suitable to be used as a reading material among the young readers or whoever interested in the folktales of other ethnics. We believe that reading folktales while trying to answer riddles is an effective way of testing mild intellectual ability among the readers. At the same time, it makes reading more interesting and fun.

The collection of tales and riddles in this book were retold from the fieldwork of collecting folktales and riddles among the natives of Sabah, Malaysia (formerly known as North Borneo). Thanks to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture of Malaysia (2011-2013) and University Malaysia Sabah, who have awarded a grant each for us to conduct research in the field of riddles and folktales in Sabah. Last but not least, this may be the first of its kind in the market, combining riddles in the folktales , playing with the latest augmented reality technology. As such, we sincerely hope that it will make reading more interesting, fun and beneficial.
