Live blocks or blokkit will save you from many problems and enemies, help you defend yourself or dig a mine in the pixel world, cut down a tree and much more, and they are very cute. Block pets adds live blocks that can be tamed in mcpe.

When traveling or discovering new biomes in the minecraft world, very often you run into a lot of aggressive minecraft mobs.
