Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Wooden Easter Ratchet on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

Ratcheting is a well-known tradition since 1482. It creates lots of noise by turning a wooden ratchet – the faster, the better! 3D model and sound were captured from an original wooden easter ratchet originally built by my uncle. Our digital ratchet behaves just as a real one, but it‘s easier to take with you everywhere you go.

Now with transparency mode (background is a camera preview). Tap screen once for autofocus. Please send us a short email message if it does not work correctly for you.

DISCLAIMER: We cannot be held responsible for flying mobile phones. If you fear for your mobile phone, use the Touch-Mode to control the ratchet via Touchscreen.

KNOWN BUGS: Some Android 2.1 phones have the camera preview rotated 90°. We can send you a version in landscape mode by email (i.e. menu will be rotated 90°, everything else will be all right). If you have Android 2.2+ camera preview can be rotated via menu entry. Unfortunately Android 2.1 does not yet have this API function.
