Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing The NOW Building on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

About this app

The NOW Building sets a new standard for student accommodation, and the NOW Building app sets a new standard for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Experience the interior-designed reception, 10th floor sky deck and a typical bedroom unit, all in VR, and get a sense of the inspirational spaces in which to live, study and unwind in AR.

To experience the NOW Building in VR, you will need to a Google Cardboard headset. To see the NOW Building in AR, you will need the trigger images (all included in the brochure), and position your phone so the camera has the image in shot.

So, if you are a student or a prospective student, download the app to see what's on offer, and to get a better feel for the NOW Building. Student living for the NOW generation.

You will need a Cardboard viewer to view the experience.

PLEASE NOTE: When starting the AR portion of the app, you may have a black screen. If this is so, look in Settings>App Settings>Installed Apps>NOW building and give the app permission to use the camera.

Safety Information:

As with all VR experiences, it’s important to take frequent breaks. If you experience nausea, discomfort, eye strain, or dizziness, stop using the viewer immediately. Likewise, if you have had or could be prone to seizures, consult a doctor before using the viewer.
