الباحثون المسلمون" هي مُبادرة علمية معرفية أطلقتها مجموعة من الباحثين والدارسين المُختَصّين في مُختلَف مجالات العلوم تَهدُف لإيصال المعرفة والمادّة العلمية المُوثَّقة إلى القارئ، كما تَهتمُّ بعرض الأبحاث الإبداعية وأفكار الاختراعات، وتسعى للإجابة على الأسئلة والاستفسارات باعتماد الدراسات العلمية الموضوعية، وبالرجوع إلى مصادرِ العلوم الموثوقة.
يَعتزُّ الباحثون المسلمون بانتمائهم إلى أمّتهم ويَفخَرون بموروثهم الفكريّ والحضاريّ؛ لذلك فإنّ أهمَّ ما يُميِّز مبادرتنا أنها لا ترى صِدامًا بل تكامُلًا بين العلوم الحديثة وهذا الموروث، وإنّ إيماننا بهذه الفكرة لا يأتي من فراغ بل يقوم على تتبُّعِ المادّة العلمية من مصادرها الصحيحة، ثم دراستِها دراسةً علمية تتّسِم بالمنطقية والموضوعية بعيدًا عن تلك الإيديولوجيات التي تُقدِّم العلمَ كبديلٍ للدين والتدين، أو تُصوِّرهما كضِدَّين وطرفَي نقيض.
على الرَّغم من تسمية "الباحثون المسلمون" فإنّ هذه المبادرة هي مبادرة معرفية علمية، وليست مُوجَّهة لدراسة العلوم الدينية الشرعية، كما أنها تنبذ التطرف ولا تتبنى أيَّ توجُّهٍ فكريٍّ سياسيٍّ أو حزبيٍّ، وإنما جاءت التسمية تيمُّنًا بعلمائنا المسلمين الأوائل الذين شربوا العلم والمعرفة من كلّ الينابيع ومن مُختلَف الحضارات والأديان والأمم، ثم شحذوا الهمم فأبدعوا وأبهروا وبلغوا في العلم أرفع المراتب وأعلى القمم، كما جاءت هذه التسمية تعبيرًا عن انتمائنا لأمّتنا ليكون -بما يَحمِله من مبادئَ وقيمٍ؛ من تحرٍّ للصدق وحبٍّ للعلم والمعرفة وسعيٍ لخير البشرية جمعاء- هو المُحرِّكَ لهذا العمل والحاكمَ عليه، تلك القيم التي إنْ تاهَتْ عنها البوصلةُ يومًا فلا بُدَّ من عودة، ونحن على هذا الدرب ماضون.
