This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SideTrak: Backing Track Player (Free Edition) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Man this thing is awesome! Exactly what I need. I want to activate my backing track, while reading the lyrics and reading the chords in real time. I was so stoked to be able to use this until I found out they only allow Wav files!? Most musicians only use mp3s for backing tracks, especially if they're on phones because of the size. I was totally gonna get pro, but until they allow mp3 files, I will have to go elsewhere.

A backing track player ideal for solo/duo gigging musicians; Create an organized & searchable library of your backing tracks, and add scrolling lyrics (karaoke style), chords and other info such as verse/chorus sections to them.

Note: There is 2 versions of the SideTrak app, the "Free Edition" (which is this version), and the "Pro Edition". The "Free Edition" contains limitations that are not in the "Pro Edition", which are: 5 Track Library Limit & Random Track Pauses.

View your lyrics as you play - a lyric player that displays all of your lyrics line-by-line, karaoke style, in sync with your backing tracks.

Display chords as you play - a chord player allowing you to add synchronized chords & sets of chords, synchronized with your backing tracks.

Organize your backing tracks - a backing track library letting you organize your backing tracks into an easily searchable backing track library.

Add useful info to your backing tracks - add relevant information such as verse, chorus etc..., to your tracks with colored sections & useful popups.
