स्थलमंडल - Lithosphere

स्थलमंडल या स्थलमण्डल (lithosphere) भूगोल और भूविज्ञान में किसी पथरीले ग्रह या प्राकृतिक उपग्रह की सबसे ऊपरी पथरीली या चट्टान निर्मित परत को कहते हैं। पृथ्वी पर इसमें भूपटल (क्रस्ट) और भूप्रावार (मैन्टल) की सबसे ऊपर की परत शामिल हैं जो कई टुकड़ों में विभक्त है और इन टुकड़ों को प्लेट कहा जाता है।
