About this app

Download “KUBO Spelling” to supplement your KUBO Robot and enhance the experience of spelling with KUBO!

“KUBO Spelling” adds a new dimension to the KUBO Robot by working in synergy with it. The combination of the app and the physical robot and TagTiles create a unique way of learning to spell for children in ages 4-10.

How to use “KUBO Spelling”:
Start by setting up a profile for your child. You can set up multiple profiles so each child who uses the app has their own profile.
Attach KUBO’s head to the body to allow the app to connect with KUBO.
Choose a flat surface, like a table, and make sure there’s plenty of space for KUBO to move on.
Now it’s time to start spelling!

“KUBO Spelling” has three levels of difficulty:
-Spelling
-Blank spots
-Blank spelling

In the first level, spelling, an image is shown and underneath, the word represented by the image is spelled out. A voice also says the word out loud to allow your child to connect letters with sounds. Using the physical letter TagTiles, your child now has to spell the word by laying it out on a table or another flat surface. Place KUBO on the first letter to make it check the spelling.
In the second level, blank spots, an image and word is shown in the same way as in the first level, but not all letters are visible. Your child now has to fill in the blank spots themselves. Use the physical TagTiles to spell the word in the same way as in the first level and get KUBO to check the spelling.
In the third level, blank spelling, none of the letters are visible. Your child now has to spell the entire word on their own, once again by using the physical TagTiles and KUBO.

Earn rewards:
Every time your child spells a word correctly they earn a gold coin. The coins can be exchanged to animations, which are saved in the animation collection. Each animation enables KUBO to do a fun little action!

Track your child’s development:
With the “KUBO Spelling” statistics section, you have the chance to keep track of how your child is advancing in their spelling abilities and get an insight into where their strengths and difficulties lie.
