1.本冊為「教育部教科書審定執照」職審字第01553號之教科書,作者鍾愛德,賴銹慧,鍾國鳳,鍾韶珮。

2.內容有1.Greetings(問候)2.Numerals(數字)3.Talking about Time(談論時間)4.Asking Directions(問路)5.Thanks and Apologies(感謝與道歉)6.Talk about the Weather(談論天氣)7.At the Hotel(I)(在旅館I)8.At the Hotel(II)(在旅館II)

3.每課有兩個到六個「情境」對話,例如第一課有四個,分別為Greetings(問候);Invitation(邀請);Treating(請客);Meeting(會面)。第八課有六個,分別為Depositing Valuables(寄放貴重物品);Laundry Service(洗衣部門);Sundry Service(雜項服務);A Wake-up Call(叫醒呼叫);Money Exchanging(兌換錢幣)Checking Out(結帳離開旅館)

4.每課內容分「文章」、「單字」、「片語」; 「文章」由道地的美國人錄音,分男、女錄音;按右上角的喇叭icon,即可聽到該篇對話全部連續撥放的錄音;按方形icon,則停止撥放錄音。此外,也可針對每句對話錄音,做反覆練習的動作,以便模仿道地的美國語音,達到熟能生巧的目的。

5.每課文章內的「單字」大都可以點擊,點擊後立刻會出現該「單字」的中文解釋;此外,按下該單字的喇叭,即可發出語音,若要使該單字離開,隨便點擊該頁面的任何地方,該單字會消失,再回到原文章頁面。

6.每課的「單字」和「片語」均有數十個提供user做測驗,如第一課74個;第二課37個;第三課52個;第四課51個;第五課35個;第六課43個;第七課96個;第八課97個。因此第一冊約有500個單字和片語提供測驗。

7.按下每課右上角的Quiz(隨堂測驗)即可立刻做測驗,最後結束會顯示得分,結束後按下「再測一次」,則其出現的單字或片語,因為是Random,所以與前次的單字或片語的順序完全不同。

8. 「課程學習」右上角有“ i ”的icon,按下之後進入更多資訊,分「關於我」和「補充教材」, 「補充教材」內介紹有關本冊主題相關的一系列單字和片語。
