Total junk. I try to log in on my S8+ and it tells me to remove phone from the headset. I even tried taking it out and holding the phone portrait as suggested by HBO in response to someone else's review, but all it did was crash and go to my home screen. Hard to believe HBO hasn't addressed this issue since the same complaint is in almost every review. There are too many other streaming services out there for them to put such a POS on the market.

Sign in very difficult if you need to paste password from a password manager app. Once signed in, it works like the regular HBO Now app. Fun experience! Can only watch while head is in an upright position (sitting upright). Cannot lay down and watch. Youtube allows moving the screen to watch while laying down. If HBO Now VR also allows this "laying down" ability I am unable to find a way to do it, so please let us know if it can be done.

I have an amazon prime HBO subscription. I am supposed to be able to use HBO NOW. And I can use their standard app. But there is no way to log in to the VR app. I called HBO customer service and the guy had never heard of the VR app and had no clue. HBO really does need to get this right because their name is on it and they promise things that do not work. Also their interface is pure stupidity. You have to put the daydream controller on and choose and movie and then it asks you to take the controller off and log in and then if that works which it does not then you presumably can put the controller back on and watch the movie. This is stupid. I gave them one star for being stupid.

App is garbage. Won't sign in. Just tells you to remove from VR headset. The HBO websites says to turn the phone to portrait for a sign in prompt, but that definitely does not work. Should at least support using an in screen keyboard for sign in, or just borrow the sign in from the 2D HBO now app.

Trash! It won't work, it'll just tell you to remove the phone. I'm using a note 8 on the day dream.
