Somos un archivo nacional audiovisual. Preservamos y conservamos no solo nuestro patrimonio fílmico, sino nuestra memoria colectiva e histórica.

En cine se han registrado cien años de imágenes de nuestro país en noticieros, documentales, películas institucionales y caseras, cortos y largometrajes de ficción. la Fundación ha merecido la confianza de numerosos donantes y depositantes. Gracias a ellos, el acervo dispone ya de más de 200.000 unidades de cine, video y otros soportes, así como fotografías, carteles, elementos de museo y numerosos documentos.

Entre los usuarios del servicio de conservación y administración de colecciones se encuentran en el sector oficial, la Presidencia de la República, el Ministerio de Cultura, Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia, RTVC, Idartes-Cinemateca Distrital y del sector privado Proimágenes Colombia, Caracol TV, Cinemateca del Caribe, entre otras y la mayor parte de los productores y realizadores nacionales.
