In a world where the information of every user on the network represents a source of income for large companies for the purposes of market research, studies on our habits and our social image, DestroyChat aims to protect personal information that are exchanged via instant messaging , developing an app that uses both the encryption method and the permanent elimination from the physical and virtual memory of every single message sent after the expiry of a life time set by the user.

DestroyChat is an instant messaging application with the aim of not storing messages and images exchanged between two users in any storage medium.

Each message sent is first encrypted and, once received, decrypted with a simple click on the message which in turn will activate a countdown of the duration set by the sender at the end of which the message is destroyed, deleted from any physical and virtual memory and it can no longer be viewed or restored by any user.

The duration of each message sent is editable before each sending, so every single message has a different duration from the others in the same chat.

In addition, every chat can be completely destroyed at any time by both users with a single click, eliminating all messages in the chat.

The messages travel on the encrypted network and are only decrypted by the intended recipient, who can view the message until the expiry time is set.
