About this app

Cine-versity is a film education platform for creating a deeper engagement with a slate of classic and celebrated films from across Europe.

Cine-versity will explore issues of design, composition, story models, color scheme, music and choreography, as well as post-production processes in order to help participants experience, learn about, and appreciate film as an art form with its own history, language, and understandings.

Based on and compatible with an initial slate of 15 European films from across the last 100 years, Cine-versity is a glimpse into the cultural resonance of a wide range of film arts with insight from relevant and scholarly voices from the regions being covered.

Cine-versity is developed by The Animation Workshop/VIA University College in cooperation with Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design, Sapientia University, Vilnius Gediminas Techical University, partially funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and with the support of the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
