This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Museo Virtual CIPAC on PC Windows and Mac.

About this app

La preservación y socialización de recursos culturales costeros y subacuáticos, sin embargo, presentan varios desafíos. La falta de información, el difícil acceso al público, la falta de conciencia de la herencia cultural común y la depredación, entre otros aspectos, como los efectos negativos en las zonas costeras del cambio climático, tienen llevado los bienes culturales a un estado de casi invisibilidad dentro de nuestra sociedad y a un agotamiento irreparable de recursos culturales en todo el mundo (Guérin & Egger, 2001). Con el fin de invertir esta tendencia, se están elaborando nuevas formas de protección, estudio y socialización del patrimonio cultural.
En este sentido, este proyecto pretende establecer una red multidisciplinaria de investigadores con el objetivo de desarrollar de un flujo de trabajo basado en tecnología digital para documentar, evaluar, preservar y difundir la información derivada del patrimonio cultural marítimo a un público más amplio, con el hilo conductor sobre las embarcaciones, sus rutas y paisajes. Se basa en los recientes desarrollos en arqueología y antropología marítima y computación gráfica para proponer un abordaje para el problema de la preservación del patrimonio, combinando estrategias de preservación in situ con técnicas innovadoras de computación gráfica para la preservación digital y la difusión al público en ambientes virtuales que permitan a los usuarios interactuar con el conocimiento. Esta propuesta se sitúa en el marco conceptual de las Humanidades Digitales, un campo emergente de investigación que combina metodologías de las ciencias humanas y estudios de museología con herramientas computacionales hacia la inclusión digital (Burdick et al., 2012).
