Ali ibn Abi Talib was a cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w),
who ruled as the fourth caliph from 656 to 661, but is regarded as the rightful immediate successor to
Muhammad S.A.W.W as an Imam.
Hazrat ali was given the reward of Heaven by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the world.
Hazrat Ali (A.S) was born 29 years after the incident of Amul-Feel, 10 years after the birth of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w), on Friday 13th Rajab.

Ali is important to both Shias and Sunnis, politically and spiritually.
The numerous biographical sources about Ali are often biased according to sectarian lines,
but they agree that he was a pious Muslim, devoted to the cause of Islam and a just ruler in accordance with
the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
While Sunnis consider Ali the fourth Rashidun Caliph, Shia Muslims regard Ali as the first Caliph and Imam after Muhammad (s.a.w.w).

Ali's father, Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib, was the custodian of the Ka'bah and a sheikh of Banu Hashim,
an important branch of the powerful Quraysh tribe. He was also an uncle of Muhammad (s.a.w.w), and had raised Muhammad (s.a.w.w) after Abd al-Muttalib,
Abu Talib's father and Muhammad's (s.a.w.w) grandfather, died.

Hazrat ali (A.S) was rewarded by the title of "Al-Murtaza" (The Brave) by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w).
The memorable event, breaking the door of Khaibar also took place by the hands of Hazrat Ali (r.a).
Apart from cousin , He was also the son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). Hazrat Ali (A.S) was
married with the most beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w), Hazrat Fatima Zahra (r.a).
