Backyard merges video, voice & text chat with everyone's favorite games, all in one place!

You can jump into party, classic games and more over group video, or just hang out and pass the time with friends.

Connecting with your favorite groups has never been easier! When you login and make a Space, you’ll have a dedicated place to connect and play with friends. All the Spaces you create or join will be saved automatically, and when you’re in the app, you can see who is actively playing in the Space Directory.

Casual

• Doodle [2-12 players] - A game like skribbl.io where you can guess what your friends have doodled.
• Wordplay [1-12 players] - A fun fill-in-the-blank comedy card game.
• Land Grab [1-15 players]- Compete against other players in this multiplayer arcade game. Grab as much land as you can!



Classics

• Chess [2 players] The strategy board game we all know and love. Bobby Fischer’s favorite!
• Crossword puzzles [1-12 players] - The popular word puzzle brought online for ease of use and collaboration!
• Checkers [2 players] Play head to head against a friend in this classic game of Checkers!


Hanging Out

• Whiteboard [1-12 players] - A scratchpad to draw, write, or play games like tic-tac-toe.
• Watch YouTube [1-12 players] - Start a watch party! Create a shared playlist of YouTube videos to watch with friends.

We have important details to share with you about Backyard in this release.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to record audio.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows access to the vibrator.
