Installation is in Chinese only. It requires a ton of permissions (I get the storage, but phone calls information and contacts? Why?!). You have to set up an account with using a phone number (Why? It's a bluetooth printer. For the tablet of my kid. They don't have a phone number and you certainly don't need it!). On top of it all, the app doesn't recognize the QR code, so it doesn't bind. Totally unusable. Is this even real or just one big scam to get your info?

For whatever the device had a had time registering on my phone but worked on the first try on the tablet. It works well but you have to be creative with the printers use. With that said, it takes a bit of experimenting.

Once I got Wi-Fi set up it worked great. The problem with the Wi-Fi setup is that I had to disable LTE in order to get it to connect to the Wi-Fi. once that happened it was no problem at all. Prints without any issues. I really wish the app was a little bit more developed there needs to be more options available more graphic options maybe graphic designer or something like that. The printer though works like a charm and I can't find any issues.

The app works, but it's clumsy. You can't share a picture to the app, you have to go into the app, choose a printer, then choose picture, then browse and try to find the picture you want. Would be way easier if it just supported sharing. It also doesn't support the native android print function. Would also be nice if you could send one message to multiple printers at the same time. The app seems to require more permissions than seems reasonable, and will not work if they are denied. It does seem to work well. The printer is a lot of fun, but the app does need to be improved.

Once connected, the Android app is inexcusably clunky in a world where Material Design and UI/UX designers exist, but it works well enough for sending and printing text messages, which is all I need it for. HOWEVER: The "Share" feature provides a link to an UNSECURE web site for others to send messages (which is inexcusable!) so DO NOT use this feature to invite someone to send sensitive information. Try as I might, though, I absolutely COULD NOT get the Android version of the app to complete the process of getting the MemoBird itself on my local network (and I am NOT going to download an additional app from a Chinese web site to make it work). The iOS version of the Memobird app connected the printer to my network almost instantly. Get your iOS developer to talk to your Android developer and give them some tips for working with networks that have 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands that can't be renamed (like eero). Your iOS developer knows what they're doing.
