El presente trabajo presenta una secuencia didáctica para la enseñanza y apropiación de los conceptos que explican, de forma cualitativa el comportamiento de los electrones en el átomo de acuerdo a los principios del modelo mecano-cuántico. Las actividades que se proponen tienen como principal objetivo que las y los estudiantes de 1° año de educación media sean capaces de describir, relacionar, explicar e interpretar la emisión de colores mediante el comportamiento de los electrones de un átomo según los principios del modelo mecano-cuántico. Estas competencias se desarrollarán mediante 5 actividades presentes en la siguiente secuencia, donde la interacción con aplicaciones en tablets o smartphones pretende modelizar en base a conceptos teóricos el comportamiento de la energía en forma de luz.
