This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Catalyst on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. This app was the push over the fence that my players needed to try out the Catalyst RPG. They all purchased it within 5 minutes of seeing it. Love a game that comes out with the tools useful to play it right from the get go. You will NOT regret purchasing it :)

I love the creation wizard and how the app tracks everything in combat about the player character. I just hope that one day they will make it able to be used my GM's to use for their npc's. Keep up the good work guys.

Streamlined character creation: Players select their character’s backgrounds and proficiencies through an easy-to-use, step-by-step guide. All the growth point spending logic to develop characters is built-in, letting players quickly see what skills, abilities, and spells they can learn. Players can make and save characters for all your campaigns.

Inventory management: Players can outfit their characters with any gear from Catalyst’s manual or create custom items. Ammo tracking, enchantment logic, and fragility are all handled by the app.

Battle mode: Catalyst’s card based combat is managed through this app. Players can use their phone screens instead of physical cards when choosing and revealing their actions. Vitae and vigor are tracked, with vigor usage from actions and spell maintenance done automatically.
