Use HERE! to:
• Check who is in your hyperlocal surroundings right now!
• See who was in your hyperlocal surroundings in the past (even when your phone’s screen is off)
• Get notified when someone of interest is HERE! (Just in case you had a life and weren't checking the app every 5 seconds ;))

The rest is up to you! You could, let's say, indicate in your profile that you like baking chocolate cakes with a delicious ketchup topping. You might be lucky and run into someone with the same interests... but probably not.
And btw, your privacy comes first! Only your approximate location and profile info leave your device. All other hyperlocal discoveries are kept local.
